Craft Punch Art

This guy's attention to detail BLOWS ME AWAY. David Adey takes magazine covers and uses craft punchers to break them apart, and pins them back together. The result, shadow included, is mindblowing. I would love to see this in real life.

Thanks to Travis for introducing me to this artist.

Fly extravaganza

Via Andrew S. Parnell:

Jung von Matt / Neckar's campaign involved tying little banners to 200 or so flies. See for yourself below.

Perhaps this takes me back to childhood days in which I tied strings to dragonflies and flew them like kites (yes, I was an interesting child). However, I can only imagine being in a room with 200 flies and wanting to kill every single one of them...with my bare hands. Note that I'm pretty good at it, too.

The Crows

Clayton Cubitt's "Long Portraits"

Clayton Cubitt, a photographer in New York is making video portraits that look at facial expressions in the time frame of 5 minutes.

For some odd reason I am actually watching the entire 5 minutes. Perhaps it's in my cynical personality to catch a sneeze or an itch...

Close ups of a girl

My tendencies drawing beautiful girls definitely parallel some of the many other Asian female artists out there - thanks to them, I am shamelessly exploring that tendency to the fullest. Here is a close up of what I am talking about. Sooo excited about this one :)

Scary Stories...

Does anybody remember these books back in elementary schools, the ones you used to read and can't sleep for days without the light on??
Better yet.. these ILLUSTRATIONS?
Such great memories...
