I spend too much time on these things...

Haven't been drawing for awhile but I've been doing some 'research', consisting of web/magazine browsing and sketching. Amidst all of this I found my favorite model, Sun Fei Fei. There is some dullness about her eyes that makes her look so unique - who woulda thought? Well of course, her pillowy lips and face shape could have been it too.

My next girl is directly inspired from Sun Fei Fei's look. This looks a little bit more fashion than art and I'm contributing the look to my personal transition. More to come!

Belated RIP to Daul Kim

Daul Kim, one of the top Asian models in the world, found dead in her Paris apartment at age 20.

Her blog I Like to Fork Myself reveals such an interesting and dynamic person. RIP.

I DID IT!

Non-art related: I just got a one-way ticket to China!!!!!!!!! SO EXCITING. and scary. but definitely more exciting than scary :) I'm not sure what to expect...but I am certain that life experiences will enhance my craft.

Craft Punch Art

This guy's attention to detail BLOWS ME AWAY. David Adey takes magazine covers and uses craft punchers to break them apart, and pins them back together. The result, shadow included, is mindblowing. I would love to see this in real life.
